Title: The Butlins Girls

Author: Elaine Everest

Blurb: Her greatest adventure could be love…

Times have been hard for Molly Missions. Following the loss of her parents, mysterious, long-lost family have darkened her door, laying claim to her home and livelihood.

Molly applies for a job as a Butlins auntie, in the hope of escaping the bitterness and arguments. When she receives news that she has got the job, she immediately leaves her small hometown, enthralled by the promise of a carefree new life in Skegness.

As soon as she arrives, Molly finds true friendship in Bunty and Plum. But the biggest shock is that Johnny Johnson, star of the silver screen, is working at Butlins as entertainment adviser. Johnny takes an instant liking to Molly and she begins to shed the shackles of her recent heartaches.

Could Johnny be just the distraction Molly needs-or is her too good to be true?

Review: This is another great read from Elaine Everest. I loved reading the Woolworths girls and as soon as I knew she had another book coming out I just had to read it.

I was not disappointed. It is well written in Elaine’s special way. You feel welcome and it is like coming home amongst the characters although there are some different characters. Freda from The Woolworths Girls features and you really get to  know her more, other characters also feature.

It is a wonderful story that follows Molly’s journey to overcome the loss if her parents. However, as always before the happy ending Molly has to overcome over hurdles before doing so, not all bad. She meets some great friends along the way and finds love. These new friendships are tested so except some amazing surprises along the way. It makes for some exciting reading.

I am very much looking forward to Elaine Everest’s book Christmas at Woolworths out in 2017 and revisiting some characters that I cant wait to see how they are getting on. A true testament to Elaine’s writing that she has created characters that will live on for her readers.
