Title: Summer of Love
Author: Katie Fforde
Blurb: Who knows what might happen in a summer of love?
Sian Bishop has left the hustle and bustle of the city behind and has thrown herself into a new life in the country.
With her young son, her picture-postcard garden and her small thriving business, she’s happy and very busy. She is not – repeat not – looking for love.
And then, one glorious summer evening, Gus Beresford arrives.
One-time explorer, full-time heart-breaker, Gus is ridiculously exciting, wonderfully glamorous – and, Sian tells herself, completely wrong for a romantically cautious single woman like her.
But she and Gus have met before. And, despite Sian’s best intentions, it isn’t long before she’s falling for him all over again …
Review: I have read this book and loved it and now re-listening to it on audio book using amazon audible, a free book when you sign up and one each month after that, its great. Link below if you are interested.
This book is another beautiful romantic book by Katie Fforde. She is by far one of my favourite authors. I can read her books in one sitting and love to listen to them whether I am doing the housework, walking or gardening.
This story follows Sian who has moved from the city to live a more relaxed life for her son and herself in the countryside. She is slowly settling in when she makes a friend, Gus’s mum. This friendship leads to meeting some interesting people in the village and a unknowing in counter with Gus.
I enjoy Katie Fforde as she writes in such a way that you feel yourself being calm and totally absorbed into her stories. Her characters are so warm and real. You can tell she really knows about what she has written about.
I would recommend any book by Katie Fforde. My dream one day would be to meet the lady in person and thank her for all the wonderful stories she has given us.
