Title: Recipe for Love
Author: Katie Fforde
Blurb: Take one aspiring cook.
When Zoe Harper wins a coveted place in a televised cookery competition, she can’t wait to put her cooking skills to the test.
Add a very desirable judge.
But as the competition heats up, she realises she’s developing an inconvenient crush on one of the judges, the truly delicious Gideon Irving.
Stir in a heaped tablespoon of romance.
All too soon there’s more than canapés, cupcakes and cordon bleu at stake.
Will Zoe win the competition, or is Gideon one temptation too far?
Review: This is another wonderful tale by Katie Fforde.
I enjoyed reading about the televised cookery competition. Very Great British Bake-off. I particularly enjoyed reading about a TV show and the goings on behind camera that you don’t see on TV. By reading you get a whole different understanding and view. Katie makes you feel like you are apart of the show and I felt all the tension throughout.
I enjoyed the twist in the plot where our main character Zoe falls for the handsome judge Gideon. It creates so many problems which I found interesting to follow.
Katie Fforde writes in her beautiful style. Easy to follow with short chapters. Katie has created such warm and loveable characters in lovely amazing settings. Her romantic moments are to die for.
This is perfect for a summer read laying by the river in the countryside.
