Chells and Books Review:
I love a good psychological thriller something to completely loose myself in and keep me on the edge of my seat. I must admit I didn’t find the cover very appealing even though it relates to the dark atmosphere of the story but Sarah knows how to keep the reader engaged with her words. I was hooked from the start.
The plot flits from different times and places but not in a confusing way, I found it was quite easy to follow despite it being fast paced. I love the use of questions and statements to give the reader more understanding of the characters and plot and creating suspense perfect for a psychological thriller. Sarah’s knowledge and understanding of her topic shows clearly throughout the plot and brings depth to the characters. I enjoyed reading the scenes at the counsellors as this was were we gain even more understanding of the minds of the characters. Just when I thought I knew where the plot was headed a new detail is let slip and I am back to the drawing board and guessing.
Who I Am is brilliant. Do we really know who people are? I don’t think we do. This is a must read if you like a psychological thriller. I have read so many historical and romantic fiction books recently that this was the perfect respite. I cannot wait for more from Sarah.
